Some evenings just come together in the best way, and Yezzlynn's senior session was one of those evenings.
Downtown Abilene gave us everything I love in a location—historic architecture, quiet streets, the fountain catching the last light of the day, and beautiful pockets of golden hour around every corner. Every stop felt different, giving her gallery a timeless variety while still telling one complete story.
What made this session so special, though, wasn't just the scenery. It was Yezzlynn herself.
She is genuinely one of the sweetest people, and that kindness shines through in every image. From the moment we started walking through downtown, she trusted the process, laughed through the little in-between moments, and embraced every idea. Those authentic moments are always my favorite because they create photographs that feel just as real years from now as they did the day they were taken.
Senior year is such a unique season of life. It's full of excitement, change, and looking ahead while still holding onto the memories that made you who you are. That's exactly what I hope every senior gallery becomes—a collection of photographs that brings you right back to this chapter, no matter how many years have passed.
As a Cooper High School Class of 2027 senior and one of my Shadow & Light Portraits Senior Reps, this is only the beginning of Yezzlynn's journey. I can't wait to continue documenting her senior year and all of the memories still waiting to be made.
