Some senior sessions remind me that the best plans aren't always the original ones.
Kylee's session began with us watching the forecast and trying to stay one step ahead of the rain. A last-minute location change wasn't part of the plan, but sometimes those unexpected turns lead you exactly where you're meant to be. Looking back through her gallery now, I honestly can't imagine these photos happening anywhere else.
From the beginning, Kylee wanted her senior photos to feel feminine, timeless, and true to who she is. She brought along her Bible, not just as a prop, but as something that's genuinely important to her. I always love when seniors include pieces of their everyday lives because those details make a gallery feel personal years from now.
Kylee attends Wylie High School, where she's involved in both FFA and powerlifting. I love that combination because it says so much about who she is. She's hardworking, strong, and confident, yet she also has such a soft, kind presence. That balance carried through every part of her session, from her cowboy boots and sunny summer outfit to the flowing floral skirt she paired with her Bible.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was seeing everything come together despite the changing weather. The flowers, warm golden light, and quiet trails created such a peaceful backdrop that every stop seemed to fit her personality perfectly. Even the simple moments, walking through the trees, sitting among the flowers, or quietly holding her Bible, felt meaningful without needing to be overdone.
The little details are some of my favorites from Kylee's gallery. Her personalized Bible resting among fresh flowers, the soft golden sunlight filtering through the trees, and the bright summer colors all helped tell the story of this season of her life. Those are the kinds of images that become even more meaningful with time because they're rooted in memories instead of trends.
Kylee, thank you for trusting me through all of the weather changes and being willing to go with the flow. It was such a joy getting to photograph this exciting season of your life, and I'm already looking forward to seeing you again this spring for your cap and gown session. I can't wait to celebrate your graduation with you.
If you're dreaming of senior photos that feel personal and tell your story, I'd love to help create something that feels uniquely you.
